Eastleigh Borough Council

  • A Biodiversity Action Plan was published in 2002. The plan emphasizes practical conservation and survey work that contributes to local conservation. Progress reports are produced annually to describe the work achieved by the Partnership. The annual report for 2005/6 can be viewed here.

  • Through the team of Countryside Officers, the Eastleigh Borough Council's Countryside Service manages 325ha of land on 28 sites, to conserve and enhance biodiversity and to provide opportunities for public recreation and enjoyment. This includes internationally important wildlife areas at Itchen Valley Country Park.
